Radiators and fan coils

We are able to supply just about any type of radiator your central heating system may need depending upon your specific requirements or budget. Drayton and Ellis have been installing radiators of all types, shapes and sizes for over 25 years. We can supply a huge range of standard, steel panel, convector radiators direct from stock, in 5 different heights, 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700mm and 18 differing lengths, from 400mm to 2400mm. All come in a high quality, powder coated finish, with a 10 year product warranty.

If you want something more imaginative or exotic as part of a traditional central heating system, we can supply andinstall many different styles and materials, traditional style column radiators in either cast iron or steel, modern panels and futuristic designs in stainless steel and aluminium, also there is a vast range of valves and controls. Please contact us for more information or advice, or, for some idea of the products available, please visit.

Fan Coils

Fan coils are a type of heater that can be used in place of standard, traditional radiators, which are particularly well suited to use on low temperature heating systems, such as those which are heated by either a Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP), an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) or solar thermal panels. Fan coils are ideal in these situations because they can operate with a system water temperature at around 35 degrees Celsius, whereas standard panel convector radiators operate at temperatures of 60 degrees and above. Because heat pumps generally are most efficient when they are heating the system water to around 40 degrees Celsius, it makes fan coils an excellent heater option in a system of this type.

Fan coils can be very useful where a high heat output is required, but there is limited wall space, or for whatever reason, under floor heating cannot be used to heat the space. They have the added benefit that they can be used for cooling in the summer, if the system is connected to a heat pump which can cool as well as heat and the system is set up to operate in that way.

Fan coils have a specific role to play in the design and operation of low energy, high efficiency heating systems utilising renewable energy technology, please contact us for more information and to discuss your specific design requirements.
